The Alabama Legislature honored a total of 19 law enforcement
officers from around the state at the 2012 Medal of Honor Ceremony held Thursday morning. More than half of the officers nominated for the award are from the Birmingham Police Department.
A joint session of the Alabama Legislature was held at 11 a.m. April
12 to honor the recipient of the award and the nominees.
The 2012 Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement award was given to
Officer Timothy Lindsey, II, with the Department of Conservation and Natural
Resources Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division, Law Enforcement Section.
The following nominees for the award were recognized with a joint
resolution:

Corporal R.E. Tucker and "Bodi," Montgomery Police
Department
Officer George William Taylor, Cottonwood Police Department
Officer Brian Nalley, Birmingham Police Department
