WSCC student-athletes visit Cullman Primary School | News
HANCEVILLE – Wallace State Community College student-athletes and Roary, the college’s mascot, recently spent quality hours with Erin Miner’s kindergarten class at Cullman Primary School.
Wallace State cheerleaders John Stalnaker and Odetta Jordan, basketball player Josh Nicholas and Roary visited the school first, reading a book to the class during its weekly “Mystery Reader” session on Fridays. They discussed the value of demonstrating good sportsmanship to the class, and the kindergarteners enjoyed getting acquainted with Roary.
The Wallace State baseball team stopped by a couple of weeks later, helping the students to carve pumpkins for the holidays.
Miner said her class had a wonderful time with both groups and her student enjoyed working with the Wallace State athletes.
